The city of Tsukuba — also known as “Science City" — is Japan’s esteemed nucleus of scientific research, development, and academics. Home to a multitude of globally-recognized breakthroughs, it would be no stretch of the imagination to say this city always has one foot in the future.

Although one would typically spend their visit touring Tsukuba’s wide variety of museums and exhibits, I had other plans in mind — please enjoy these photos from a hike up the neighboring Mount Tsukuba with some classmates from Sophia University.
